Social Worker | Counsellor | Educator

I'm Martin, a warm, curious, and culturally attuned counsellor, social worker, and educator based in Western Sydney. With postgraduate qualifications in Social Work and Public Health from the University of Sydney and a background in Health Promotion, I bring over 17 years of experience supporting communities with care, insight, and integrity.

My approach is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and always grounded in dignity, empathy, and cultural safety. Whether I’m working alongside LGBTQIA+ communities, people living with HIV, or those navigating complex life transitions, I aim to meet people where they are – never above, never apart – just human to human.

Through Here and Heard: Counselling & Consultancy, I offer individual counselling, social work assessments, supervision, advocacy, training, and public education. I draw on therapeutic modalities like CBT, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and brief solution-focused work – but more than anything, I bring presence, compassion, and deep respect for your story.
