Our Mission
At Here and Heard, our mission is to provide culturally safe, trauma-informed, and person-centred counselling, social work, education, and advocacy for communities throughout Sydney and New South Wales. Rooted in the lived experiences of Western Sydney, we honour the dignity, autonomy, and expertise that each person brings to the conversation.
We walk alongside those who are often unheard, including the general community, culturally and linguistically diverse individuals, religious minorities, LGBTQIA+ communities, men who have sex with men but do not identify as gay or bisexual, people living with chronic illnesses, survivors of violence, and others facing challenges. Our support is relational, responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practices.
Through deep listening, compassion, and critical reflection, we create spaces where people feel safe, seen, and empowered to address their needs in their own time and with the resources they have.

Here and Heard is headquartered at Marrickville (2204) and offers services in the Fairfield/Liverpool area. We also provide online counselling. Please note that we do not offer a drop-in service. The best way to contact us is by phone.
We currently offer counselling through the NSW Victim Service scheme, as well as a fully private service (not eligible for bulk billing or rebates). We hope to provide this option to clients in the near future.
